KUCHING: A construction worker was seriously injured in a fall while painting a 15-foot high building at Batu Kawa here yesterday.
The 22-year-old worker from Sarikei was painting the newly completed building when a lorry carrying cement reversed and hit the scaffolding he was poised on.
In the accident, he was said to have lost his hold and fell.
His colleague, who witnessed the incident, immediately called the ambulance when blood was seen flowing out of his ears.
The worker, who is believed to have sustained a broken left hand, was brought to Sarawak General Hospital for treatment.
