Felda worker dies, ground up, after falling into fruit processing machine

KUANTAN: A palm oil refinery worker was killed when he fell into a fruit processing machine in Felda Tersang near Kuala Lipis, yesterday.Abd Khisyam Mat Nor, 32, from Felda Jengka 3, Maran, was crushed and partially ground up by the machine in the 10.30am incident.
He was pronounced dead at the scene."The accident was witnessed by the victim's colleague, who then notified the employer to ask for help," Kuala Lipis district police chief Supt Azry Akmar Ayob said.
Azry added that police requested assistance from firefighters to extricate the body, which was trapped in the machine.The body was sent to Kuala Lipis Hospital for a post-mortem.-- Bernama
