Bangladeshi worker dies after bricks fall from crane at construction site

GEORGE TOWN: A Bangladeshi worker was killed while two others were injured when some 200 bricks fell from a crane at a construction site on Saturday.
The incident happened at around 1.40pm at a construction site located at the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway here.
A witness, who declined to be named said about eight workers were working at the site when the bricks fell from a crane, hitting the workers.
“The bricks fell on three foreign workers. Two of them were hit on their heads while the other suffered injuries to his foot. “A Bangladeshi victim who in his 30s, suffered from serious head injuries and died on the spot. The other two who are also from Bangladesh were sent to the hospital,” he said when met at the hospital.
