Yes! Any certificated machinery or new auxiliaries installed in the factory premises must be preceded by a submission of the JKJ 105 and JKJ 106 forms to the nearest DOSH office.

Machinery requiring Certificate of Fitness are : steam boilers, unfired pressure vessels and hoisting machine i.e passenger lift, goods hoist, escalator and cranes.

The factory and machinery registration process will take 20 days from the date of submission of the forms and completed relevant documents to the DOSH office.

The documents will be review by DOSH officers and this will then be followed by a preliminary inspection of the premises and machinery. After the relevant tests have been carried out, the certificate of fitness will be issue by the Department to the machinery after the necessary payments have been made.
