The Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standards of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations (USECHH Regulations) came into force since 2000. The main provision in these regulations contains the monitoring of exposure of employees to chemicals hazardous to health.
According to USECHH Regulations, specific training must be provided including methods of monitoring the exposure of hazardous chemicals to health for ensuring the maintenance of adequate control over workers' exposure to chemicals hazardous to health. Monitoring of these exposures is a technical aspect that requires specific training by training centres with highly knowledgeable trainers, quality training modules and in line with the provisions of the USECHH Regulations.
Therefore, to ensure that the training standards provided by the training centre can be controlled and meet the objectives, recognition will be given to the training centre that meets the criteria set out in this guidance.
