Chemical Weapons Convention
Department has been appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as one of the agencies in the National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC) to meet the requirements of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) as well as implementing the Chemical Weapons Convention Act 2005, which regulated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Department is also responsible for dealing with issues related to security and management of chemicals, including chemicals conventions. Department plays a vital role in helping NACWC to enforce the Chemical Weapons Conventions Act 2005 and Chemical Weapons Conventions Regulations 2007. Department was given responsibility to provide a national inspection procedures for chemical weapons by the National Inspection.
