Bangi, 26 September 2024 - The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) has organized the 7th National Convention Systematic Occupational Health Enhancement Level Program (SOHELP) 2024 at Bangi Avenue Convention Centre, Selangor.
The convention attended by more than 550 participants from various industrial sectors was officiated by YBrs. Tuan Sutekno bin Ahmad Belon, Deputy Secretary General (Operation) KESUMA. Also present at the opening ceremony of this convention are YBrs. Ir. Haji Mohd Hatta bin Zakaria, Director General of DOSH Malaysia, Head of Prevention Medical and Rehabilitation SOCSO, Mr. Harun bin Bakar, DOSH Headquarters and State Office Directors.
The convention was held to give recognition and appreciation to workplaces that have shown excellent performance in the implementation of SOHELP. In addition, the convention is an annual platform for them to share best practices in the workplace specifically for noise exposure management, chemicals and ergonomics. A total of 19 Best SOHELP Workplace Awards by category and element were presented to successful workplaces.
Four (4) new industrial hygiene guidelines were also launched during this convention which are:
