MOST of the Persiaran Putra Bahagia and Persiaran Putra Perdana roads in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, which were affected by last week’s landslide were reopened to traffic at 1pm on Monday.
However, one lane along Persiaran Putra Perdana, near the Persiaran Putra Bahagia intersection, will remain closed to facilitate cleaning works.
The decision was made at the third safety planning meeting on the Putra Heights landslide incident, which was held on Monday morning at the site.
The meeting, chaired by Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Ramli, was attended by representatives from the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ), Public Works Institute (Ikram), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Occupational Safety and Health Department (DOSH), and developer Kingsley Hills Sdn Bhd.
Also present were Kota Raja MP Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud and Sri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafiei.
The committee made the decision after taking into account the reports made by relevant parties on slope safety and road conditions.
ACP Yahaya said adequate signage would be provided to guide motorists.
The developer has also been asked to appoint an independent consultant, to be agreed on by the committee, to provide a more comprehensive report on slope safety and around the landslide area.
