Persafe Engineering Sdn Bhd wins Gold Merit Award for second consecutive year - Borneo Post Online

BINTULU: Persafe Engineering Sdn Bhd won the MSOSH OSH Gold Merit Award for year 2013 under the category of petroleum, gas, petrochemical and allied sector, at the 2014 Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) award presentation ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur recently.

The Gold Merit Award, which is equivalent to an excellent OSH performance, is the second consecutive win for Persafe for this award.

The annual safety and health performance awards from MSOSH are intended to give due recognition to all member organisations and companies which have achieved commendable safety and health records or have shown improvement in occupational safety and health processes through sound safety and health management systems.

The panel of auditors consist of representatives from DOSH, Socso, Niosh, Sirim Berhad, MEF, Miros, MSOSH, multinational corporations and private companies.

On hand to receive the award was its director Parry Marah.

Congratulating the management and staff of Persafe, Parry said: “The Gold Merit Award marks another milestone in our HSE excellence journey. I urge everyone in the organisation not to be complacent but to continously uphold the safety culture in every operation and adopt the culture at home.

“We thank our clients for their continuous support in shaping the company to what it is today.”

This year, Persafe’s HSE committee participated in the ceremony to harness safety leadership at all levels in the company.

Persafe is an integrated service provider to the oil and gas and petrochemical industries for almost 20 years, a high performance Bumiputera Company (Teras), under Teraju programme since 2012.
