Registration of Occupational Health Doctor
Occupational Health Division also plays a role in the new registration and renewal of certificates of registration every three years according to the certificate expiry date for the Occupational Health Doctors. The list of registered Occupational Health Doctors with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health is available on the Department's website.
In 2016, there were 1113 Occupational Health Doctors who are already registered with Department across the country. Selangor has the highest number of Occupational Health Doctors with a total of 331 people, followed by the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur / Putrajaya a total of 118 people and Johor 96 people . A total of159 Occupational Health Doctors renewed their registration in the year 2016 and a total of 106 new applications had been received throughout the year.
A total of 3040 medical surveillances have been received from them throughout the year as well. Medical surveillance forms that were sent and which shows the biological or biological effect monitoring reading levels of chemicals above the recommended levels were investigated so that measures for improvement can be undertaken in the sectors involved.
